The House of Welcome is moving! We will close at Carramar 28th April and will reopen in Granville 8th May 2017. Because of this, the Material Aid program will be closed 11th April - 15th May 2017. Please call the office on 97279290 to discuss or arrange a pick-up.

The Material Aid Program receives donated household items and furniture for distribution to people seeking asylum and their families.

Limited opportunities for stable employment mean many people seeking asylum are forced to survive on little or no income. The Material Aid program is a community supported program maintained by volunteers who offer their time and muscle to pick up and deliver furniture and other household necessities in order for our clients to receive the basics to set up a home.

Please note: To maintain this essential program, the pick-up of items from outside a 5 kilometre radius of the Carramar office will incur a $50 tax-deductable pick-up fee.  This will help to cover the cost of pick-up, truck service and maintenance and general program costs.
