Welcome Feast projects promote connection and cultural exchange between people seeking asylum, refugees and the wider Australian community. The sharing of food and traditions create community cohesion and the understanding of the refugee journey.
Need catering? See information below!
For people seeking asylum and refugees, the Welcome Feast not only mitigates the social isolation experienced, it also provides the opportunity to build capacity and confidence, learn new skills, meet people and widen networks and create a means of income generation.
For supporters, involvement with the program creates the opportunity to make new friends, learn about rich traditions and cultures and positively reinforce the joy we take in our diverse community.
